About the Center

Al-Kharafi Activity Kids Center is the first center of its kind in the Gulf region and the Middle East. It gives disabled children the opportunity to learn through play and fun within a safe and enjoyable environment. Playing is vital for a child’s development and well-being. It is one of the natural rights of disabled children and special needs. The center was developed to help children play with their peers whilst developing their physical, emotional, social, and verbal abilities. We concentrate on training the children to deal with each other and communicate in a nurturing non-discriminatory environment.

Our Mission

To provide a specialized safe and interesting environment that ensures the right to play for all children with diverse abilities all year round filled with joyful, hopeful and adventurous atmosphere.

Our Goals

1.   Provide all forms of serves for disabled children in Kuwait, on specified hours, as long as it is presented within a safe environed
2.   Provide all required educational, social, therapeutic and psychological programs in a fun environment, where children can
       experience structured entertainment programs and learn through play.
3.   Work on developing disabled children’s abilities and mentality in a plain simple form
4.   Help disabled children communicate to gain new social and behavioral skills, whilst enjoying the fun in an entertaining environment
5.   All Activity, educational and training programs provided to those disabled children are delivered by specialists and trained volunteers
6.   Training and qualifying individuals to work on serving special needs children through continuous local and international training.
7.   Help disabled children Integrate with their peers in the community.
8.   Work on the development of volunteerism, and arrange programs that encourage individuals to participate in volunteer work.

Who Do We Serve?

1.   All disabled children between the ages of 4 to 13, during mornings and afternoons within the "After School Program".
2.   Disabled Girls between the ages of 13 to 25 within the "Habilitation Program for Girls".
3.   For all public and private centers, schools and institutions of disabled children.

Working Hours

Working Hours:
Saturday TO Thursday Morning:- 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Wednesday AND Monday Evening:- 4:30 pm – 7:30 pm

Note: Working hours may be modified to enhance the quality of service
